how we work
Over the last 15 years AWT has evolved into an organisation that combines traditional skills and work ethics with the most modern methods, materials and equipment available.

We have become leaders in our field through our attention to detail, respect for our clients’ property and innovation to develop the necessary products and processes to offer our clients the simplest, least intrusive, “elegant” solution to remedy their masonry defects.
  • In our professional opinion: If you suspect that your building has structural problems, our surveyors are available to investigate. They will be able to quickly assess whether a problem exists and, if it does, to determine the causation and recommend the next steps to take.
  • What will it cost: Once a remedial strategy as been established, our estimators will prepare a quotation to ensure that you are fully aware of all the costs involved and to minimise the possibility of surprises along the way. Our estimators are always at hand to discuss any aspect of the quote with you or to investigate the cost implications of alternative remedial solutions.
  • Effective solutions: We always strive to offer the least intrusive, most effective economical solution to address your masonry issue. With our 15 years of experience, the likelihood is that whatever the problem or structure our surveyors will have seen it before and will be able to offer you the most practical and financially viable solution.
  • Getting started: We have honed our project management structures, methods and controls over the last decade and a half. As a result, on accepting a contract our management team will complete and submit for your approval all of the relevant documentation (including working method statements, risk and COSHH assessments, our health and safety policy, and insurance and tax details) before a project manager and team are assigned to your project and a schedule produced.
  • Health and safety: As a CHAS accredited company we follow a clear health and safety policy to protect our operatives and strictly adhere to all relevant H&S procedures for the safety of everyone on site. To monitor this, a member of our management team will visit the site on a regular basis and our health and safety consultants will conduct unannounced visits.
  • Site management: Each project is overseen by a Project Director. A Project Manager is responsible for all day to day site activities, including ensuring that housekeeping and H&S standards are upheld and the client’s expectations are met. Team leaders are site based, controlling all on-site activities, and act as your first point of contact. All our operatives are highly trained professionals, accustomed to working on both commercial and residential properties in a respectful and courteous manner.
  • Carefully does it: AWT’s aim on any project is to undertake the remedial works correctly, accurately and effectively, then to finish by blending the works seamlessly into the existing building. Our operatives are trained to undertake AWT’s reinforcement methods and to take the greatest care in making good with materials and methods that complement the building they are working on.
