AWT recognised that the ability to introduce remedial expansion joints was a necessary part of our repair strategies and set about facilitating this requirement.

 

AWT have carried out comprehensive testing and development of equipment and methods to facilitate the cutting of remedial expansion joints. By adopting Hydraulic powered twin bladed diamond disc and diamond chain sawing technology together with special guides and tracking AWT are able to cut straight, wide parallel joints into existing brickwork (up to 325mm thick) in one pass to form expansion, movement  or crack-inducement joints.
